Advocate, artist and APB speaker Regina Holliday started a medical advocacy blog after her husband passed away from poor care and a lack of access to his own medical data. Holliday created this forum to be “a place where art, medicine, social media and pop-culture collide and create a patient voice in health information technology.” Since 2009, she has used her art to give a platform to those demanding healthcare policies for better quality patient treatment and safety. As an experienced painter, Holliday attends medical conferences and live paints stories on canvases as told by fellow advocates and patients. Over time, she developed and created The Medical Advocacy Mural Project.

Recently, APB speaker Kim Campbell and her children hosted the first annual Glen Campbell Memorial Celebrity Golf Outing in honor of the late musician. Held at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, the Outing raised money to help fund research for studies on the effects music has on brain health. Celebrities, friends of Glen and the Campbell family, and donors attended the event to celebrate Campbell’s life and love for golf.
