Our program consultants have access to speakers spanning the globe, and, as a member of the International Association of Speakers Bureaus, we have the ability to secure other speakers bureaus' exclusive speakers on behalf of our clients. How much does it cost to book a speaker?

The cost to book a speaker can depend on a number of different factors, including the type of event, how far a speaker has to travel, length and number of presentations and demand for a speaker's services. Your program consultant will clearly outline the costs during your booking process—there are no hidden fees in using a speakers bureau.

 

How far in advance should I start planning an event?

Optimally, events are planned 6-12 months in advance. However, we know this is not always possible. Our program consultants and event coordinators are experienced with working in shorter timeframes and are adept at coordinating last minute bookings or replacement speakers in the case of an emergency cancellation. If you are looking to secure one of our higher profile speakers or host an event on a popular date, we advise that you begin planning as early as possible, as many of our top speakers have dates scheduled up to several years in advance.

 

How can I evaluate a potential speaker before booking them?

Our experienced program consultants will work with you to understand your programming and event needs, give you customized recommendations and provide you with the tools you need to properly evaluate each option for your event. What if my speaker has to cancel because of an emergency?

At APB, we are pleased to boast an extremely low cancellation rate among our speakers. When the occasional cancellation does occur, it is generally attributed to something that is out of both APB’s and the speaker’s control. In the unlikely event that a cancellation does occur, APB is here for you. Our extensive global network of speakers offers countless secondary options and our staff is available around the clock should any last minute complications arise.
