Jenkins has a slew of projects lined up for release in 2013 including the recently released Fox Searchlight feature Baggage Claim, alongside Paula Patton, Djimon Hounsou, Derek Luke, Taye Diggs, Jill Scott, and Christina Milian; in theaters nationwide on September 27, 2013. Jenkins also appeared alongside Chris Brown, Josh Holloway and Josh Peck in the upcoming Screen Gems feature Battle of the Year: The Dream Continues, which released to theaters in September 2013, which centers on an American dance crew headed to France to compete at the Battle of the Year International Championships. Jenkins recently completed filming Think Like a Man 2.

After signing a book deal with HarperCollins’ IT BOOKS, Jenkins is able to add the title ‘author’ to his resume. His first literary work, The Wealth of My Mother’s Wisdom, was published in October 2013. His role as Michael, a perennial mama’s boy in the box office smash hit, Think Like a Man (adapted from Steve Harvey’s popular book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man) inspired him to take an in-depth look at his own mother and her extraordinary journey of raising him while still a teenager herself. Many of the successful moments in Jenkins life, both personally and professionally, have been credited to the lessons that his mother taught him and he’s proud to share her words of wisdom to inspire others. 

Outside of his acting career and his hosting duties at E!, Jenkins serves as Vice President of Crown Life branding in addition to being an Ambassador for Crown Royal Black Whiskey, Jeep, and Stacy Adams which was featured in GQ Magazine. Jenkins hosted TNT’s Inside the NBA ‘On Point: The Crown Life’ every Thursday night during the NBA season which featured Jenkins taking viewers behind the scenes at the hottest spots in various cities around the country where he visited with celebrities and special guests while discovering how each of them live “The Crown Life.” Jenkins has played a key role in helping to promote Crown Royal’s “Safe Rides Program,” in which pre-paid taxi voucher cards are distributed to patrons at select Crown Life events across the country. Jenkins is also a spokesperson for Ronald McDonald’s House Charities Future Achievers Scholarship Campaign, a mentor with Steve Harvey’s Disney Dreamers Academy and an avid supporter of the Newark, New Jersey Boys and Girls Club.

Originally born in Queens, New York, Jenkins spent his childhood years in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from North Carolina A&T University and is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Read Less ^
