Biography
Sarah Sophie Flicker is an activist, producer, writer, filmmaker, cultural organizer, creative director, and aerialist. Founder and Creative Director of celebrated political cabaret group, The Citizens Band, she is the Editor-At-Large for Violet Book. Her writing can be found at Hello Giggles, Rookie Magazine, W Magazine, Vogue, Refinery29, The Cut, Cosmo.com, Stylist, Rizzoli’s publication The Inspired Home and her site, At Once, focusing on the intersection of feminism and parenthood.
She is a national organizer at the Women's March as well as cultural content producer with Paola Mendoza of Soze Agency. It became the largest global protest in modern history.
Before this, she was working with ART NOT WAR as Content Producer and Creative Director. Sarah Sophie has worked with a wide variety of organizations on campaigns such as Emily's List, Lady Parts Justice, Women's March, PLUS (paid family leave), United We Dream, Planned Parenthood, and others. She is a founder and member of The Resistance Revival Chorus.
In celebration of the one-year anniversary of Women’s March, Sarah Flicker’s new book Together We Rise is an unprecedented look at a day that made history—and the beginning of a resistance movement to reclaim our future.
Women’s March will share proceeds from Together We Rise with three grassroots, women-led organizations: The Gathering for Justice, SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, and Indigenous Women Rise.
