Biography
Kevin’s 40 year career has taken him all over the world, performing and speaking to students and fans at conventions, high schools, colleges and universities. His extensive knowledge of working in show business, from Broadway to TV and Film as well as concert halls has taken him from summer stock theaters in Cape Cod to Carnegie Hall.
He has worked with and costarred with many incredible actors and directors including: Paul Newman, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Bruce Willis, Daniel Craig, Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Lithgow, Kathy Najimy, Jonathan Groff, Tim Curry, Sam Waterson, F. Murray Abraham, Rosie Perez, Rita Wilson, Usher, Sam Mendes, Ang Lee, Michael Apted and Ryan Murphy.
His numerous speaking engagements have brought him all over the country, including Texas State, University of Missouri, UCLA, Cal State Long Beach, Arundel College, University of Delaware, Webster University and St Louis University as well as being invited to give the commencement speech at Rutgers University, his Alma Mater.
He is on faculty at Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Boot Camp in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where he has taught young actors from all over the world for the last five years. Kevin has amassed over 11 million followers on TikTok and his appearances at Broadway Con and Comic Con as well as Disney’s D23 make him one of the most sought after and iconic actors of his generation. Kids and young adults grew up watching him as Bertram, the lovable butler on Disney Channel’s Jessie and Teen Beach Movie and is a star and contributor to the first crowd-sourced TikTok musical of Ratatouille in which he played Gusteau and wrote the song “Anyone Can Cook”, which had 2 million hits within the first 24 hours of posting. Ratatouille - the TikTok Musical ran on New Years Day 2021, deep in the depths of the pandemic - and raised over 2 million dollars for The Actors Fund.
Kevin’s Broadway and regional theater career spans over 40 years. He has been honored with 3 Tony Award Nominations, 3 Drama Critics Circle Awards, 2 Outer Critics Circle Nominations and a Grammy Nomination. He received the coveted Helen Hayes Award in 2023 for his work at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
Kevin’s lectures include a career retrospective, a master class with students focusing on auditioning for musical theater, tv and film, Q &A with the audience, his journey as a member of the LGBT community and his activism with the Cameron Boyce Foundation, raising money and awareness for Epilepsy. As an additional option, the evening may also include Kevin performing from his one man show which has been seen in Los Angeles, New York, Palm Springs, St Louis as well as cruise ships around the globe.

Spend an evening with Three Time Tony Award Nominee and Helen Hayes Award Winner Kevin Chamberlin as he takes you on a journey through his vast and varied career — from his 35 years on Broadway to his iconic character, Bertram on Disney Channel’s Jessie, and recently as a renowned TikTok creator with over 11 million followers. The evening includes an extensive Q&A / conversation with the audience and an optional musical performance by Kevin.
Finding the Joy in Auditioning: A Master Class with 3x Tony Nominee Kevin Chamberlin
Students prepare a musical theater song and Kevin works one on one with each actor in front of the audience, finding the truth in the imaginary circumstances of the song and character, and helping the actor's audition anxieties and focus. Sessions end with an extensive Q&A/conversation about making it in show business, how to get an agent, surviving in New York or Los Angeles’s competitive market, and most importantly how to earn a living as an actor.

As a celebrity guest judge, Kevin brings his vast experience on Broadway and in Film/TV, along with his improvisatory humor and lovable charm.
