Biography
Daniel Patterson has over twenty years of experience in education, having taught, coached, and served as a high school administrator and director of education. Daniel develops therapeutic schools and programming nationally and in the greater Los Angeles area in the K-12 and post-secondary sectors via his consulting firm, Patterson Perspective Inc. He regularly speaks and consults nationally regarding student and educator wellness. Currently, he is the director of education for two college recovery programs, owner of two companies, and co-host of the wildly successful podcast Sobriety Uncensored.
Patterson launched his full-time consulting firm, Patterson Perspective Inc., in 2017 to deliver innovative support for students, educators, young adults, private corporations, municipalities, school districts, and states within the academic and mental wellness realms. Patterson fortifies his clients with the necessary tools, resources, and strategies to achieve their objectives. In 2022, Patterson launched his second company SOBERTUNITY -- which operates an international online support community for the sober and sober curious.
Daniel is the author of The Assertive Parent (2018) and RECOVER[edu] (2020) and is currently completing his third book, Sobertunity, which addresses addiction, mental health, and his compelling recovery journey.
