Biography
Antonio Pierce was named head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders on January 19, 2024, after serving as the team’s interim head coach for the last nine games of the 2023 season. Pierce led the Raiders to a 5-4 record during that time, including a 3-1 record in the AFC West, and immediately gained the respect of the players and the fans.
Before being named head coach, Pierce had spent the last nine years in the coaching world – starting at the high school level, moving up to various roles at Arizona State University, and finally in the NFL with the Raiders.
Pierce also had a decorated playing career spanning nine seasons, four with Washington and five with the New York Giants. Despite going undrafted, Pierce made the Pro Bowl in 2006 and became a Super Bowl champion in 2008 with the Giants. Following his retirement, Pierce joined ESPN as an NFL analyst.
Pierce attended the University of Arizona where he played football for two years. He is a native of Long Beach, California.
