March for Our Lives Plans Rally Against Gun Violence in D.C. and Across the Nation
07 Jun 2022
March for Our Lives was formed by survivors of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, including APB speaker and Co-founder David Hogg, and APB speakers Samantha Fuentes and Jaclyn Corin.
“Together, we rose up four years ago,” tweeted the organization. “One million of us demanded change. We built a movement. We voted for new leaders. And the gun deaths increased. Now is the moment we march again. Can we count on you to be there June 11?”
“No more. It’s time Democrats, Republicans, gun owners and non-gun owners come together and stop focusing on what we can’t agree on and start focusing on what we can even if small,” added Hogg in a tweet. “We’re doing another march on June 11. Sign up here and help us make this time different.”
The 2018 massacre is considered one of the deadliest in the history of our country. Fourteen students and three staff members were killed. To join the protest or learn more, text MARCH to 954-954 or go to marchforourlives.com.
