07 Apr 2022
One of the funniest and most highly regarded cartoonists in America, APB speaker Keith "Keef" Knight is the inspiration behind Hulu's hit streaming-series Woke, which he also co-created. For nearly three decades, this multi-award-winning artist has brought the funny back to the funny pages with a uniquely personal style that’s a cross between Calvin & Hobbes, MAD, and underground comix.
"Cartoonist Keef Knight is now a popular activist on the rise, but he’s facing a world where ‘woke’ has become big business. Can Keef and his friends bring about real change, or is it just about the dollar$? And can Keef navigate this new world without destroying what he’s become?" -Season Description Courtesy of TVInsider |
Knight is part of a generation of African-American artists who were raised on hip-hop and his award-winning art has appeared in various publications worldwide. Infusing his work with urgency, edge, humor, satire, politics and race, he tackles deep topics through the lens of comedy.
