New PBS KIDS Series "Alma's Way" Created by APB's Sonia Manzano Premieres October 4
28 Sep 2021
We are excited to share that Alma's Way, a new animated PBS KIDS series from Fred Rogers Productions, will premiere next week on October 4th. We are even more excited to exclusively represent the creative genius behind the show, Sesame Street icon and author, Sonia Manzano. Beloved by generations, Manzano broke new ground as one of the first Latino characters on national TV.
Inspired by Manzano’s own childhood, Alma's Way centers on 6-year-old "Alma Rivera," a proud, confident Puerto Rican girl who lives in the Bronx with her family among a diverse group of close-knit friends and community members. Infused with Manzano’s humor and grounded in a social and emotional curriculum, the series will give children the tools to find their own answers, express what they think and feel, recognize and respect the unique perspective of others.
Be sure to check out this exciting new series next week and contact us if you are interested in bringing Sonia to speak at your event. One of our most sought-after voices, she touches on themes explored in the show including social emotional learning, inspiration, culture, self-advocacy, empathy and more.
