APB Speaker Wes Moore's New Book: More Relevant Now Than Ever
22 Jun 2020
New York Times bestselling author and APB speaker Wes Moore is about to release his new book, Five Days: The Fiery Reckoning of an American City, which was originally based on his personal journey to explore what happened in his hometown, but soon turned into a larger exploration of poverty and inequity; purpose and disillusionment; focus and frustration.
Over the past four years, Wes has been working on this new book, which is due to release June 23rd. It explores the uprisings in Baltimore in 2015 after the death of Freddie Gray in police custody through a kaleidoscope of perspectives and examines critical questions about the deeper causes of violence and poverty. Wes follows eight people in Baltimore over a five-day period from a variety of places and perspectives.
