Mueller Report Sparks Reaction from APB Speakers

As speculation about the content of the Mueller Report hit the Sunday morning news shows, APB speakers from across the political spectrum weighed in. “We do not know what’s in the report,” wrote veteran journalist Dan Rather, “but already I can feel a sense of deflation and worry among some.”
Watergate legend, and Pulitzer Prize winner Carl Bernstein, a fierce critic of the president, stressed the importance of releasing all of the report’s findings. “We need every word of it to be a functioning democracy,” Bernstein said. CNN Chief National Correspondent John King focused on the impact of the report on the 2020 elections on his show, Inside Politics. “Do the candidates think it’s better to talk about healthcare, economy, jobs and opioids?” he asked a panel of journalists. Their consensus: the issues examined in the Mueller investigation had not yet gained significant traction with voters. Political strategist and CNN commentator Alice Stewart provided a conservative perspective, calling for the country to move on after nearly two years: “It’s time for Democrats to accept three uncomfortable truths: no collusion, no obstruction and still no Hillary Clinton in the White House.”
As more details of the Mueller Report are released, there is no doubt that APB speakers will continue to examine—and sometimes make—the headlines.
