APB's Michelle J. Howard Appointed to IBM’s Board

Former U.S. Navy Officer and groundbreaking leadership speaker Admiral Michelle J. Howard has been appointed to IBM’s Board. She was the first woman to become a 4-star admiral in addition to becoming the first African-American woman to command a U.S. Navy ship.
IBM CEO Ginni Rometty said in a statement, "Admiral Howard is a groundbreaking leader with a distinguished career in military service. Her leadership skills, international perspective and extensive experience with cybersecurity and information technology will make her a great addition to the IBM Board."
Admiral Howard is currently the visiting Professor at the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University, where she teaches in the areas of cybersecurity and international policy. One of the most inspiring women in her field, she is a sought after speaker on everything from diversity, leadership and team-building to innovation and cybersecurity.
