APB's Rob Scheer Releases New Book, "A Forever Family: Fostering Change One Child at a Time"
08 Nov 2018
Founder of Comfort Cases, APB speaker Rob Scheer recently released the new book A Forever Family: Fostering Change One Child at a Time about his difficult childhood in the foster care system and how he created his forever family.
In his memoir, Scheer talks about how, for most of his childhood, the odds were stacked against him: he grew up in an abusive household and was placed in foster care, where he was eventually kicked out at 18 years old. Scheer then became homeless and had to resort to sleeping in his car and in public bathrooms. Nevertheless, he persevered to find his own path and achieve his dream of creating Comfort Cases, an all-volunteer charitable organization that provides overnight bags, pajamas, hygiene items, activities and comfort items to children and teens transitioning into foster care.
