APB Speaker Jeffrey Tambor Wins the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series

APB speaker Jeffrey Tambor won an Emmy Award in the category of Lead Actor in a Comedy for his groundbreaking portrayal of “Maura Pfefferman” in the Amazon Prime hit series, Transparent. This is his second Emmy Award along with a Golden Globe win for the role and a Critics Choice Award for his incredible acting.
In Tambor’s moving and inspiring speech last night, he asked Hollywood to “please give transgender talent a chance.” He also stated that he “…would very much like to be the last cisgender male playing a female transgender role.
