18 Nov 2016
Since the death of her 17-year-old son, Trayvon Martin, APB speaker Sybrina Fulton has become an inspiring spokesperson for parents and concerned citizens nationwide. Her dedication to make a change landed her on People magazine’s list of Top 25 Women Changing the World. Fulton’s goal is to end senseless shootings in America, like the one that took the life of her son.
“I want to touch lives to save lives,” says Fulton. Her activism and awareness has led to the organization of annual peace walks, meetings with local legislators and heading up support groups for mothers of victims, all through the Trayvon Martin Foundation. Fulton wants to ensure that no one becomes a victim like her son, but also that proper networks are in place to support families and communities when these tragic incidents occur.
Dedicated to turning her personal tragedy into action to improve the world around her, Fulton is an inspiring speaker whose keynotes motivate others to empower our youth to stay aware and to have a voice.
