APB Speakers Sybrina Fulton and Lezley McSpadden to address DNC
26 Jul 2016
APB speakers Sybrina Fulton and Lezley McSpadden will speak at the Democratic National Convention as part of “Mothers of the Movement,” mothers of black men and women who have been killed by gun violence or while in the custody of police.
Fulton is the mother of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer. McSpadden is the mother of Michael Brown, who was killed by a Ferguson police officer. Both women have turned their own grief into action, sharing their sons’ stories as passionate advocates for police reform and gun control.
With a longstanding history of supporting voices that need to be heard, APB is proud to represent these two inspiring women who are committed to seeking change and social justice.
