APB Speaker Hugh Evans’ Highly Anticipated TED Talk Released - Watch it Now!
12 Apr 2016
What does it mean to be a citizen of the world? APB speaker and Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans recently presented a compelling examination of this question at TED2016.
The Australian-born Evans first witnessed the depths of poverty at age 14 when he spent the night in a Manila slum. The harsh realities of his hosts’ lives motivated Evans to take action. In 2012, he co-founded Global Citizen and, with it, the Global Citizen Festival was born — a free, ticketed event requiring fans to perform anti-poverty actions in exchange for entry.
An inspiring humanitarian and innovative social entrepreneur, Evans shares how each of us can do our part to help combat serious issues on the global level. Motivating audiences from all walks of life, he urges us to be active, socially responsible global citizens who will ultimately make a difference not only in our communities, but around the world.
