August 10, 2015 | APB speaker Grant Korgan recently broke three world records when he circumnavigated Lake Tahoe in a one-man outrigger canoe. By completing this 14-hour, 15-minute journey, Korgan broke the records for fastest time to circumnavigate Lake Tahoe with human power, fastest time for a “spinal cord injured” athlete to circumnavigate Lake Tahoe in a one-man outrigger canoe, and fastest time to circumnavigate Lake Tahoe in a one-man outrigger canoe.
With support from the High Fives Foundation, Korgan completed a “FULL CIRCLE,” roughly 72 miles, to raise awareness and funds for the organization. He has received numerous grants from the foundation to empower his recovery goals, and used this circumnavigation as a platform to raise funds for current and future athletes with life-altering injuries. “The amount of goodness that High Fives has put into my life has been game changing,” Korgan said.
